Our Story
We are a group of therapists who share a vision to provide professional, compassionate and integrated counseling services throughout the Volunteer State. We provide a range of therapeutic interventions and we specialize in working with those who are neurodivergent.
“Every skill we share is rooted in care and connection — see how we can support you.”
Our Mission
At The Therapeutic Studio, we provide neurodiversity‑affirming, trauma‑informed, and relationship‑based care that honors the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Because trauma is carried in the senses and often occurs within relationships, we believe healing must also happen through the senses and within safe, supportive connections.
Through play, creativity, and multisensory experiences, we go beyond teaching skills. We help children, teens, adults, and families discover their strengths, build confidence, nurture meaningful relationships, and prepare for futures filled with passion and purpose.
We are committed to creating a warm, safe, and professional environment where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued. When people feel truly understood and supported, healing becomes possible—and growth naturally follows.
Meet the Founder
As a young teen Leiah developed a deep connection with individuals with special needs when she cared for a neighborhood child with autism. This ignited an interest to study mental health and prompted her to choose psychology as her major in college. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee in 2006.
After graduation, Leiah served as the Assistant Director at The King’s Daughters’ Center for Autism (KDS CFA) for six years, working directly with children and young adults with severe autism and intellectual disabilities. Seeing the importance of increasing her knowledge of mental health and social-emotional regulation, she enrolled in Trevecca University’s counseling psychology program and graduated with honors with her master’s degree.
